I have mentioned over and over again that liquid eyeliner and I have a serious love/hate relationship! No matter how many times I practice…no matter how many video tutorials I watch…I cannot seem to master the art form of a cat eye. Some days, my eyes look perfect, while other days, I just can’t seem to get the hang of it. I even go through the day with uneven lines and at the end of the day, I wonder how I managed to get away with it for so long. So what I am trying to say, is that texture and application is very…extremely…tremendously important for me! Miliani Cosmetics was kind enough to send me the Ultrafine Liquid Eyeliner Collection. Since I am so picky with my liquid eyeliners…read on to learn what I thought about these babies!
The Milani Ultrafine Liquid Eyeliner comes in 5 beautiful, bright waterproof shades. I have very few liquid eyeliners that aren’t black or brown, so playing around with these colors were so much fun! At first when I swatched them, I didn’t think the color payoff was great, but when they took a few seconds to dry, the color turned out to be intense! What I love most is that each shade has some sparkle, making them even more gorgeous! I was absolutely thrilled to see a matte black available in this collection, because that is always the shade I opt for.
The colors are amazing, the texture is smooth and very long-lasting…however…I don's like the applicator. As mentioned in my long-winded intro, the right eyeliner is key for me and the applicator makes it difficult for me to apply. Someone who is more experienced or used to a short, felt tip applicator may think differently, but I prefer a longer, thinner applicator or eyeliner brush. Perhaps with some practice, I could get used to it the tip. However, certainly isn’t going to stop me! When in doubt…improvise! I took the applicator, dipped it into the tube without wiping off the edges. I then took my thin eyeliner brush, gathered some product on the bristles and applied to the lids. It was foolproof! The liner hasn’t moved…it didn’t bleed…it’s been intense black all day long and I love it.

Besides my complaint about the applicator, this is a great product. I always tend to love Milani Eyeliners, whether they are liquid, felt tip or pencil. The products are always extremely pigmented, long lasting and have fantastic quality! The Milani Ultrafine Liquid Eyeliner is retailed at $7.49 and could be found in Target, CVS, Walgreens, Walmart and K-Mart. I have not seen them in-stores…yet; so if you are on a hunt for these, be sure to check them out on the Milani Website.
